A Bit About Us
We are a non-profit that teaches women how to upcycle plastic bags to make beautiful and unique products! We are also working with reclaimed fabric that would have otherwise ended up in a landfill.
The women we work with come from all different walks of life and backgrounds-newly retired, new to not working for whatever reason, dealing with major health issues, homeless and in some way seeking healing. These amazing women earn a small stipend for learning how to upcycle the bags.
We work to help women empower themselves and each other AND we take as many plastic bags out of the environment as we can. When you purchase a product from us, 50% of the profit made goes directly to the artisan, and the rest goes towards training more women and buying supplies (such as crochet hooks and roatry cutters).
We have been generously funded by the following organizations:
Catholic Campaign for Human Development
St. Benedict the Moor Parish
Women's Club of Wisconsin
